Fees and allowances

We want you to know that you can afford to care for a child.

Alongside our comprehensive support, we also offer a competitive fee and allowance package ensuring that you can afford to provide a safe and loving home for a young person.

Action for Children Fostering provides carers a competitive, weekly fee and an allowance. This ranges from £370-£700 depending on your location and the type of fostering that you do.

There are specialist add-on fee payments for carers looking after children with complex needs. This add-on is assessed by the service against a set of criteria. The fee you receive will vary if you’re fostering siblings.

For more information, please either speak to your local team or request our free Guide to fostering.

Activities and get togethers

Action for Children Fostering also provides a range of free activities and get togethers during the school holidays. Fun days out and support groups are a great way to get to know other foster families while trying something different and making happy memories.
