Michael Long

Reverend Dr Michael Long joined the Board of Trustees at Action for Children in July 2020.

Mike is the Superintendent Minister of the Forest Circuit in East London. He has served in a variety of church appointments in London, Surrey and North Wales for over 30 years.

He has served on many boards as a trustee, and is also a member of the Methodist Church’s Joint Advisory Committee on the Ethics of Investment.

Mike chaired Shelter’s commission on Social Housing, which published its report in 2019.

His research interests include theological reflection on a range of social and political issues. These include housing, money, and the church’s ministry in traumatised and marginalised communities.
