This 6-week programme is delivered at our Glasgow office and focuses on training young people aged 16-24 who are interested in a career within the Sport & Fitness industry

How it works

The programme will develop and/or improve various skills and qualities such as social skills, teamwork, confidence, presenting, decision making, employability skills and more.

Throughout the programme participants will work through the SQA SCQF Level 4 – Skills for Work: Sports & Recreation qualification which will aid them in college and the world of Sports & Fitness.

Within the programme, participants will take part in both practical and theoretical sessions. Some of these include:

  • Sport Fitness
  • Health & Safety
  • Sports Coaching
  • Sport Development
  • Glasgow Colleges Visits
  • Drugs & Alcohol Workshop
  • Employability Sessions (CV & Interviews)
  • Taster Sessions (Football, Multisport, Dodgeball, Judo, Paddle Boarding, Archery)

All participants will be allocated a key worker who will support them throughout the programme and can provide further support up to 6 months (depending upon the individual needs).

We have also developed strong links with some of Glasgow’s colleges to enable attendees to progress onto further education after this programme, as well as associations with volunteering ventures within this sector.
