Hertfordshire Short Break services for disabled children and young people and their families
We provide a range of short break care and support services for children and young people and their families living in Hertfordshire.
We have experience of supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs and our team have the skills needed to support children who have learning disabilities and autism or multiple impairments and complex health needs.

- Activity based short breaks - a range of opportunities are available in the school holidays across Hertfordshire.
Our staff
Our staff are experienced, trained and well supported and work across the range of short break services we offer, providing continuity and high quality support.
They are there to help children and young people have fun, learn new things and make new friends whilst providing high quality care and support.
Our residential short break and home care services are referral based through the local social work team but the activity based short break services come under the Short Breaks Local Offer and if you meet local eligibility criteria 40 hours of support per annum can be accessed without social work referral.

Action for Children Home’s Hertfordshire Home Care Services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
