Milestones Day Nursery is a 64 place nursery in Norwich, open 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year
Milestones Day Nursery has been opened since 2004 and we cater for children from 3 months to 4 years old.
Our aim is to build good relationships with our families, sharing information with our parents about their child's learning and development and offering support and advice. Our staff work together to ensure the children's needs are met by building good positive bonds with the child, we have a key person system; which ensures the child always has someone to go to when needed, (the key person works in partnership with a buddy).
The staff working at Milestones pride themselves on being open, honest and friendly, we ensure the children come first in everything we do, parents are able to speak to their child's key person or their buddy at the start/end of their session and the manager has an open door policy being available for parents, staff and children throughout the day.
Our cook caters for a range of dietary needs and uses locally sourced food, where she can, to produce healthy home cooked meals; she also provides simple recipes for parents to try at home.
- Milestones has 4 rooms and an enclosed garden:
- Daisy room (maximum of 12 children per session) which caters for children from 3months-2years old
- Poppy room and Buttercup room (maximum of 14 children per session) which caters for children from 2-3 years old
- Bluebell room (maximum of 26 children per session) which caters for children 3+.
We also have a sensory room, which is used daily by the children who attend our nursery and can be booked by our parents.
Our staff have experience of caring for children with a range of needs, we are able to offer additional support to children to ensure they reach their full potential; we have a trained SENCO (Special Education Needs Co-ordinator).
We have 26 members of staff; the manager holds the Early Years professional Status, there are 18 member of staff who hold a level 3 qualification 5 staff member have a level 2 qualification.
All our staff attend regular training to build on their own professional development and enhance their practice within the nursery.
Throughout the nursery our staff ensure ratio are correct at all times.
Milestones achieved a GOOD from Ofsted on 6th July 2017 and rated 5 stars from Environmental Health on 18th September 2017.
Our nursery provides funded early years education for two, three and four year old children; (2 year old funding, 3 year old funding, both the 15 & 30 hours), we also accept childcare vouchers.
