Action for Children announces appointment of new Vice Presidents

We are delighted to announce Action for Children’s new Vice Presidents: Lynda Myles-Till MBE and Ken Deeks MBE.

Ken and Lynda have shown exceptional commitment to the charity through their length of service, contribution and impact.

They were invited to become Vice Presidents in December 2022 by our Chair of Trustees, Sarika Patel, in recognition of the incredible difference they have made to children.

Ken is a communications professional with a background in journalism and has been part of the Action for Children family for 25 years. As Founder of Byte Night, our largest annual fundraising event, which we’ve now developed into Boycott Your Bed, Ken has helped raised nearly £14 million to support our work.

Lynda has supported Action for Children since 1988, and is Founder and Chair of our annual Spring Ladies Lunch, which raises in excess of £100k each year. Over her 34 years of service, Lynda has spearheaded other major fundraising events and initiatives. Including as President of our first appeal group, bringing together influential people to raise vital funds for the charity’s support services.

Both Ken and Lynda have previously been Ambassadors for Action for Children and awarded MBEs for their services to young people through their support of the charity.

We are proud that Ken and Lynda are part of the Action for Children family and look forward to working with them to continue to raise awareness and build connections to our cause. Together, helping more children have safe and happy childhoods.
