Young Ambassadors Board

Are you passionate about making positive changes to the lives of children and young people in the UK?

We're looking for 15 young people to join us in our mission of making sure the voices of children and young people are always heard.

Applications have now closed. For the latest youth voice news and opportunities, please email [email protected].

The Young Ambassadors Board is free to join, you'll share your views and have fun too!

What is the Young Ambassadors Board?

The Young Ambassadors Board is an empowering way for young people, like you, to have a say in the running of Action for Children. And you get to gain new skills and experiences along the way.

By taking part in discussions and activities, you'll play an important role in representing young people’s voices and making sure your views are heard.

Members of our Young Ambassadors Board will:

  • Attend fun online monthly meet-ups.
  • Work with other young people on action projects which will explore mental health and wellbeing, family support, disability and children in care.
  • Speak to our staff and trustees, to let us know what we're doing right and what we can be doing better by sharing your views and advice on matters that affect young people today.
  • Have fun, develop new skills, make new friends and take part in exciting opportunities all while making a difference.

Yes. This group is free to join, with meetings taking place online once a month

Your feedback and experiences will help to inform, shape and influence what we do and the decisions we make as a children’s charity.

You'll work closely with staff from across Action for Children, including senior leaders and the trustees.

There'll also be opportunities to travel across the country, take part in fun projects, exciting events, high-profile campaigns and so much more!

Applications have now closed. For the latest youth voice news and opportunities, please email [email protected].

The Young Ambassadors Board is for young people from all backgrounds, aged between 13-25, who live in the UK.

We're particularly keen to hear from young people who have lived experience or knowledge in one or more of the following topics:

  • Family support
  • Children in care
  • Disabled children
  • Mental health and wellbeing

You sure can! Check out our downloadable resources, which answers some commonly answered questions.
