The idea is simple – gather your colleagues, your sleeping bag and your thermals and sleep out for the night at one of our locations across the UK. Why? Because every child should have a safe place to sleep, food, warmth, the chance to grow and learn – the love and support to cope with life’s challenges. But too many children don’t.
Boycott your Bed is an annual fundraising event for corporate teams come together. Now in its 28th year, Boycott your Bed has raised an incredible £14.3 million to help us to be there, with love and without judgement, in moments of crisis when children are living without the essentials or a safe and loving place to sleep.
With every minute, every hour spent braving the elements – you and your colleagues could help us give a child warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed.
4.5 million children now live in poverty in the UK. That’s 31% of all children.
Tonight, many will go to bed hungry. Struggle to sleep in a cold, damp house, and start the next day without a warm coat or shoes that fit.
Taking part in Boycott your Bed could help change this.
Now in its 27th year, Boycott your Bed has raised an incredible £14.3 million to help make sure children have what they need for a safe and happy childhood. Things like warm clothes, hot meals, a proper bed.
Action for Children is a vital lifeline for vulnerable families – but we can’t do what we do without you

On 4 October 2024, over 500 people joined our national sleepout across the UK. They took part in London, Leeds, Glasgow, Belfast, and Cardiff.
On the night, guests took part in fundraising activities at indoor receptions, with guest speakers from Action for Children sharing their stories, showing how funds raised will be used to help children and families.
Teams then moved outside to take on the challenge of boycotting their beds for the night.
So far, this year's sleepouts have raised over £275,000. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all our Board Members, sleeper teams, and volunteers who helped make this event such a success.
