Payroll Giving is a simple and cost-effective way to make a regular donation to Action for Children straight from your salary
By giving straight from your salary, you donate before you pay tax, meaning that it costs you less to give.

When you donate through your salary, your donation is deducted from your gross pay before tax.
This means that if you’re a basic rate tax payer, a monthly donation of £10 will only cost you £8 – the taxman makes up the remaining £2. If you’re a higher rate tax payer, you’ll pay £6, and if you pay the highest rate of income tax, you’ll only pay £5.50
This makes Payroll Giving one of the most tax-effective ways of giving to charity.

- Afterwards, every time you're paid, your payroll department will deduct the agreed amount from your salary – you don’t need to do anything else.

- £10 a month could provide lunch for a child for a week.
- £15 a month could provide up to 30 minutes of intensive support to a family where children are at risk of neglect.
